Discussion:
[srobo-devel] Arena labeling consistency

Hi,

I just happened to be looking at the live competition pages on the
website and noticed that it refers to the two arenas as red and blue[1].

We are not going to be distinguishing them with colour, but rather with
the letters A and B. Mainly because it's quicker and easier to label
them as such and it avoids any issues with colour blindness (although
the probability of that affecting distinguishing red/blue is extremely
low).

Could someone have a look at modifying the website so that it refers to
the arenas as A/B please.

Thanks,
Rich

This is most odd, the compstate [2] definitely has them as A and B
(though we did have red & blue as the plan for a while).

I suspect that something in the way that puppet applies overnight
could have caused this -- when I deployed a state change yesterday it
was correctly showing A and B.

Almost all the information on the comp/* pages is dynamically
generated based on the information from SRComp. Changing this would
therefore be done by making changes to the compstate, though as noted
the compstate appears correct already.

I'll have a look at some point and see if I can work out why it's
ended up showing an old version, though I suspect it's not something
we need to worry about (since all deployment at the competition will
be manually initiated).
